Going to Madagascar, it’s easy!
It is not more necessary to have a previous visa to go to Madagascar. The visas of entries for tourists (one until three entries not more than three months) will be delivered to you at the airport after filling some formalities.
You just need to have :
- a valid passport
- 4 identity pictures
- a right of 30€ per entry
- ticket or letter of booking
For a business journey, if you wish to get a “transformable visa in long stays visa”, some pieces proving the motive of the investment will be asked you. In any case, write to us for more of details.
Nevertheless, the rules of bases are :
- to protect yourself against the mosquitoes (creams, anti-mosquitos cloths.) ;
- to pay attention to food and water outside of the proposed meals ;
- to protect yourself against the sexually transmissible illnesses.
- to pay attention when in contact with the animals (snakes,..)

The amount of cash which can be exported and imported
On departure : The amount of cash in local currency which can be exported is 400 000 Ariary; A maximum of 250 gr of jewellery (hallmarked) may be taken out of the country by residents; Each non-resident may take out up to one kilo jewellery subject to presentation of currecy exchange receipts at least equal to the value of the jewellery.
On arrival : The amount of cash in malagasy currency which can be brought in is 400 000 Ariary; A foreign currency declaration is obligatory only for amounts greater than 7 500 euros.
Madagascar is linked with international flights, in direct line, from: France (Paris), La Réunion (St Denis), Mauritius, Comoros (Moroni, Dzaoudzi), Italy (Milan), South Africa (Johannesburg), Thailand (Bangkok), and Kenya (Nairobi).
